Lancaster care home celebrates as staff ace care practitioner course
The care practitioner role has been introduced by Barchester Healthcare, the organisation that runs the home, in order to further develop talented care staff and enable them to give more support to the nurses working at the home.
Lois and Rosie are the most recent staff members at the home to complete the course and they are already making a big difference to maintaining and developing its standard of care.

Hide AdLyndsay Scott, general manager at Laurel Bank, said: “Lois and Rosie are integral member’s of the team who excel at what they do. I’m delighted that they have completed the training and progressed into this new role, which will help our home run even more efficiently and will enable Lois and Rosie to develop their career’s further. They have worked so hard and I’m very proud of them.”
Lois said: “I really enjoyed learning lots of new skills and building on the knowledge I have gathered during my fifteen years working at the home. I look forward to growing further within this role and continuing to support the people we care for.”
