The A683 in Melling Village has been closed for resurfacing but will be open whenever possible to minimise inconvenience to traffic and school buses.
Work is due to be completed by Friday tea time.

The diversion routes are the M6 Junctions 34 and 36, the A65 and the B6254.

Signs are in place at some distance from the affected area to ensure that vehicles, especially HGVs, can correct their route early to avoide having to perform U - Turns or end up going down inappropriate cross country roads.
