POLICE have renewed their appeal for witnesses a month after a popular 75-year-old grandfather was killed in a road traffic accident in Lancaster city centre.
Sadhu Singh of Morecambe died after the accident which took place in King Street, close to the junctions of Queen Street and Spring Garden Street at 12.50pm on Monday, July 14.

Officers investigating the accident handed out almost 2,000 leaflets to drivers and pedestrians in the area on Monday to see if they could find any more people who may have witnessed the incident.

PC John Stephenson, the officer in charge, said: "We took statements on the day and people have come forward since but we want to make sure we have as much detail as possible in the final report of this tragic accident.''

Mr Singh left a wife, five sons, 12 grand-children and six great grandchildren.

Anyone with any information should contact PC Stephenson on 01524 63333.
