Community groups from Warton and surrounding villages took part in the Warton Children's Sports Day on Saturday.
A parade of colourful floats gathered at the Malt Shovel in Main Street at 1pm, before moving round the village and onto Archbishop Hutton Primary School playing fields where sports and activities took place in the afternoon.

The floats included Warton pre-school, St Oswald's Church Coffee Stop and Warton Methodist Church and featured themed floats Wild Wild West Over, Pirates of the Caribbean and Willy Wonka.

The activities included sports races, a fancy dress competition, bouncy castles, stalls and refreshments.

Emma Brantley, organiser of the Coffee Stop float said: "The village put a lot of effort in this year, and there was a great sense of community. It was a really good day, and the rain held off as well. We hope to hold a similar event next year."
