SCOTT Davies was sent off as Morecambe lost 3-1 to Kendal in their final pre-season friendly.
Davies was dismissed for bringing down Kendal's Alex Taylor in the box on 17 minutes but Barry Roche came on and saved Taylor's penalty.

Rene Howe headed the Shrimps in front two minutes later only for Lee Mulvaney to level before the break.

The second half saw Kendal add two more goals through Callum Warburton and ex-Lancaster man Taylor.

Sammy McIlroy gave striker Chris Holroyd an hour in his first game on trial from Chester.

Morecambe travel to Wycombe in their first League Two game on Saturday while Kendal travel to Giant Axe to face Lancaster.
