LANCASTER welcome high flying Kendal to Lune Road, with captain Dave Heywood knowing it will be a difficult challenge, but one that he and the team are relishing.
"It's going to be difficult, Kendal are near the top of the table and are a good side, but we wouldn't go into it if we didn't think we could give them a game".
Lancaster go into the game with no injury worries, but know they have to up their gam
e from recent weeks, with last week's defeat to St Annes placing them near the bottom of the table.
"We haven't been playing well recently, and the players need to take more responsibility than they have been", was Heywood's assessment on how Lancaster can turn the tide this weekend.
Morecambe go into their game against Barrow looking at the other end of the table to Lancaster, a place they have become accustomed to over the past few seasons.
It was Morecambe's week off last week and Tommy Clough knows they can't afford to lose any ground on the teams above them.
"It's a game we need to win. We had our week off last week and even with a game in hand but we are still a few points adrift. It's important to pick up the points otherwise we could be a long way off".
A win against Barrow on Saturday is important for Morecambe to keep in the hunt for the title they won in 2006 and were runners up in last year.
