TWO men had to be cut out of a Land Rover after it careered off the M6 and rolled over in a field on Monday morning.
The Discovery vehicle left the northbound carriageway close to the junction 33 slip road, crashed through a fence and rolled over, leaving the men trapped inside.

Fire crews cut the roof off the vehicle to free the men, who were carried out on longboards. Both were taken to the Royal Lancaster Infirmary with head and face injuries, one by air ambulance and the other by road.

The accident happened just before 9am and fire crews spent an hour at the scene.
