Storeys are a point away from the Lancaster Honda North Lancashire League Premier Division title following their two games last week.
Against Kirkby Lonsdale last Tuesday they had the better chances but needed a late goal from Tony Hoyle to rescue a point.

That meant they travelled to Cartmel on Saturday knowing that if they lost, Marsh United would be champions.

Storeys were
on top in the first half but couldn't score while Cartmel were always dangerous.

The second half again saw Storeys push forward and their winning goal came from an unlikely source as full-back Bob Eccles popped up to score.
If Storeys draw at Ingleton on Saturday, they would be level with Marsh but Storeys would be champions on most wins recorded.

TIC Dynamos have not had a game for three weeks but showed no rustiness in their final game of the season, winning 6-0 over Swarthmoor.

It took only 15 minutes for them to take the lead as Steve Wiggins scored and Ashley Price, Mark Wiggins and Lee Rendall made it 4-0 at half-time.

TIC did not relent in the second half to the delight of manager Mike Daley. Mark Wiggins added another and Darren True made it 6-0.

Highgrove FC lost their way when they entertained Kirkby Lonsdale, losing 4-1.

Carl Pickles scored for Highgrove while in reply, Kirkby's exciting striker Nathan Jackson scored two great goals and Joe Mather another two.

Slyne-with-Hest (LCC) met Torrisholme in a game played for pride last Friday – whoever lost, would finish bottom.

Slyne played some good one-touch football, taking a deserved 2-0 lead through Michael Denwood and Russell Moore.

Torrisholme's Nicholas Dagger broke free to give his side hope but after the break, Slyne's Paul Gill made the game safe.

In Division One, Halton Rangers and Morecambe Hoops are promoted following Bentham's inability to win at Storeys Reserves on Saturday.
Bentham knew they had to win against a Storeys team weakened by first team call-ups and cricket.

Both sides played some good football and made plenty of chances but neither was able to put the ball in the back of the net.

Both goalkeepers played well and Bentham threw everything forward to try and win the game, Gary Louth hitting a post.

But they were unable to get the crucial goal and were reduced to 10 men late on after a penalty appeal was turned down.

Storeys Reserves, following a hard-fought midweek 3-1 win over Vine, remain unbeaten in all competitions this season.

Morecambe Hoops sealed their promotion when they beat an under-strength Ingleton Reserves side 7-1 in midweek.

The sides met again on Saturday at Ingleton and this time it was Hoops' turn to be under strength.

Hoops probably had the best chance and apart from having one goal ruled out for hand ball it always looked as though the game would end in a stalemate.

The Hoops have two games to play, against Cartmel Reserves and Storeys Reserves, and are still unbeaten in the league.

Halton Rangers joined them in the Premier Division with a 3-1 win at Cartmel Reserves on Saturday.

College AFC saved their best football of the season to the last game when they outplayed Boys Club to win 5-0.

Mark Storey opened the scoring followed by the goal of the game from Ian Crabtree. Simon Brister scored a double and Mark Fairclough added the last.

Grange ended their season on a high note when they beat Marsh United Reserves 3-1.

Grange raised their game after the break as Michael Purvis, Wayne Lord and an own goal found the net. Scott Sparks replied for Marsh.

Relegated Slyne-with-Hest (LCC) 'A' played well and should have beaten fifth-placed Millhead but had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Ben Hornby scored for Slyne with Carl Cochrane converting a rare Millhead attack.

Westgate Wanderers had to replay the fixture against Morecambe Royals Reserves due to them playing an ineligible player.

They were second best, but never gave up and deserved to be on the score sheet.

Royals did not have the same problem as veteran Gary O'Keeffe, Matthew Armistead, Joe Entwistle, Adam Campbell and leading scorer Aidan Dunphy found the net.

This left Westgate relegated to Division Two along with Slyne-with-Hest (LCC) A.

Highgrove Reserves are Division Two champions after an excellent run of results to the end of the season.

Midweek wins over Swarthmoor and Middleton meant they were promoted and a 5-0 win over Kirkby Lonsdale Reserves saw them lift the title.

Top scorer Peter Myerscough did most of the damage with a hat-trick, Kevin Jago and Joe Oldrieve scoring the others.

Bolton-le-Sands will be disappointed in missing out on promotion as it stops their Reserve team from also gaining promotion.

They 'lost' to Kirkby Lonsdale Reserves but the game will be replayed due to Kirkby playing an ineligible player.

On Saturday, against already relegated Torrisholme Reserves, Bolton-le-Sands won 3-2 thanks to a hat-trick from Mark Smith.

Jason McIvor and Joel Crooks scored for Torrisholme.

Swarthmoor Reserves
finished with a 3-1 win over Middleton.
Shane Birkitt scored a hat-trick, Danny Parker replying.
