THE public are being urged to be on the lookout for a bag containing drugs and medical equipment stolen from an ambulance.
The green and yellow bag was stolen along with a defibrillator, ventilator, portable radio and a Toughbook laptop computer from the vehicle which was awaiting repair at Pye Motors in Morecambe on June 5.

In the bag are 10 smaller packs, each containing two "pens" containing the drugs Pralidoxime Chloride and Atropine which are linked by a plastic cap.

The drugs, which are meant for self-injection, can be toxic should they be administered outside of the circumstances in which they are necessary and would be very dangerous to vulnerable people and particularly children.

North West Ambulance Service would urge any member of the public who come across any item which they may feel meets the description of these items not to tamper with the packaging or apply any pressure to the caps of the pens, and to contact their nearest police station on 63333 or call 08451 253545.
