ONE of Liverpool's biggest stars of the 1980s will be a guest at a sports evening in Morecambe later this month.
Jan Molby will be speaking at Upstairs Downstairs in Marine Road on Saturday, March 13.
Denmark international Mol-by, famous for his Scouse accent, was made an 'Honorary Scouser' by the Lord Mayor of Liverpool last April.
He still holds the club record of the most penalties scored by a Liverpool player (42) and only missed three times from the spot in a 12-year Liverpool career.
He made 292 appearances for the Anfield club, scoring 60 goals and won two First Division Championship me-dals and the FA Cup twice.
Before his move to Liverpool in 1984, he played for Ajax alongside Johan Cruyff and Marco van Basten and won the Dutch title in 1983.
Tickets, which cost £20, are available from Jimmy on 0797 600 6494. The event runs from 7pm until late and comedian Gary Skyner, famous for his adult humour, will also perform. All proceeds will go to the Lancaster and Morecambe Eating Disorders Network.
