A BUSINESS without a proven trading record is being offered a 'golden handshake' in the region of £400,000 to move into Lancaster Market – The Visitor understands.
A source this week said that tax payers' money is to be used as a sweetener in a behind-the-scenes deal with Asco Stores Ltd.

Asco, a new supermarket chain describing itself as "better than Tesco, cheaper than Booths", confirmed it is the single retailer interested in taking over the market building.
