Singing dentist's £1million smile

A SINGING dentist who is tipped for international fame after he signed a £1million record deal with Simon Cowell's label was born in Lancaster.
Tenor Andrew Bain, who has been offered a four-album deal by Sony BMG, lived in the city until he moved down south at the age of seven.

Andrew, who grew up in Essex and now lives in London, was plucked from his day job as an NHS dentist after sending record companies a demo tape of him singing 'Purple Rain' in his bedroom.

He has now started recording pop covers of Snow Patrol, Abba and The Smiths for release in September.

But before he hits the big-time, the 34-year-old still has to fulfil his dentist appointments for the next three months.
