Spanish lottery scam alert

HOUSEHOLDERS in the area should beware of receiving a letter saying they have won the Spanish lottery because its a scam, say trading standards.
Officers are urging people not to be taken in by unsolicited phone calls or letters informing them they have had a massive win on the Spanish Lottery – even though they have not entered. Jack Farn-worth from Morecambe contacted The Visitor recently after receiving one of the letters from Euromillones lottery primitiva S.A through the post.

Luckily, he saw through the scam but says other elderly or vulnerable people may reply and risk losing cash from their bank account.
