A 27-YEAR-OLD woman has been found dead in the toilets at a Lancaster city shopping centre.
Lisa Briggs was discovered in St Nicholas Arcade at around 5.30pm on Wednesday and was pronounced dead a short time later.

It is believed Ms Briggs came from the Fleetwood area, although she spent a lot of time living locally.

Police are appealing for anyone with information about the deceased and her movements or lifestyle to come forward.

"Tests so far into why Ms Briggs died have proved inconclusive and our enquiries into how she died are continuing," said DCI Neil Esseen, the oficer in charge of the enquiry.

"We believe she was well known throughout the city and we would ask anyone who believes they have information as to her lifestyle, and in particular her movements on Wednesday, to contact us."

Lancaster Police can be contacted on 01524 63333.
