Artell: I couldn't repeat my own goal even if I wanted

It was the worst I've felt for a long time after Saturday's game.
Not only does losing completely ruin your weekend, but to score the own goal that won the game for the opposition made me feel even worse.
I wouldn't be able to put the ball where it went again if I tried. To concede a goal from an attacking corner wasn't good defending from a few of us and the gaffer told us all in no uncertain terms that it can't happen again.
Bury's first goal came from a corner and it was something we were aware they were good at as they scored two at Chesterfield the previous week.
Their delivery was excellent but that is no excuse. We are each given a man to mark and he must not score, simple as that. We limited them to four shots all game so to lose the game is even more disappointing.
With the exception of Rotherham, we haven't played badly and this includes the Carling Cup game at Nottingham Forest where we had them on the ropes for the majority of the second half until they scored two in the last 10 minutes.
Our performances have warranted more than we have to show for them but you don't always get what you deserve in football and it's up to us to make sure we get a win against Dagenham this week regardless of how good the performance is.
We know what to expect from Dagenham and they too have got off to a good start but we have to stand up to the barrage of long balls that they will play and keep believing our style of football will reap rewards over the 90 minutes.
We have got to stay positive and as I've said the performances have been there it's just that the results haven't but as we are in a results-based industry we tend to get carried away with only the result.
It's far too early to be panicking even more so when you think that three clubs have started on at least -17 points.
After a bad result you always want to get back on the pitch as soon as possible and in previous years there has been a match on Bank Holiday Monday but this year there isn't. That means we've got a full week on the training pitch to iron out problems that have arisen in the first few matches.
Hopefully we can get it right on Saturday to give the fans something to cheer about and all have a more enjoyable weekend.
