Fireworks expected in Twenty/20 clash
MORECAMBE play their first Twenty/20 match of the season this Friday as they travel to neighbours Lancaster.
Tommy Clough will lead the Morecambe team (6.15pm start) against a Lune Road side who have already beaten Carnforth twice in the competition.
Morecambe have picked a squad of 16 for the campaign, which involves two matches each against Lancaster and Carnforth.
The squad is T Clough, M Lomas, G Pedder, M Woodhead, G Lee, D Gudgeon, L Edge, P Dennison, P Thornton, A Armstrong, G Cassidy, V Goyal, R Smith, A Thistlethwaite, N Milner, B Martin.
The Lancaster return match will be on Thursday, July 17 at Woodhill Lane. The games with Carnforth have to be arranged.
Morecambe, who had no game at the weekend due to rain, travel to Netherfield on Saturday and New Brighton on Sunday in the Lancashire Cup.
