MORECAMBE'S last ever competitive game at Christie Park (barring a possible play-off semi-final) will be against Aldershot Town.
As League Two fixtures were announced today, The Shrimps discovered they had been given home games for the opening and last games of this historic last season at the old ground.

For the 2010/11 season Morecambe will move to a new stadium at Westg
ate and the current Christie Park site will, planning permission pending, become a new Sainsbury's store.

The Shrimps also kick off the new season on August 8 with a home game, welcoming back Hereford United - relegated after one year in Division One.

There is just one very long midweek away trip - to Barnet on Tuesday, August 18 - requiring Shrimps fans to take an afternoon off work.

This year's Boxing Day fixture sees the visit to Christie Park of Lancashire rivals, Accrington Stanley, with Morecambe travelling to Macclesfield on January 2 for the other festive season match.
