SATURDAY SCORES: Morecambe clinch convincing win, there's disappointment for Lancaster while Carnforth pro smashes another ton.
3D Sports Northern League table

Morecambe confortably took 12 points from their trip to Netherfield in the 3D Sports Northern League on Saturday.

Pro Bruce Martin took 6-66 as Netherfield were restricted to 165-9 from their 50 overs.

And Morecambe were never in serious danger of not reaching the total, especially with Vishal Goyal and Mark Woodhead in fine form.

The classy Goyal finished unbeaten on 88 while Woodhead made a superb 63 as Mark Lomas' side won by eight wickets.

Meanwhile, at Lune Road, Lancaster ended the first half of the season with a defeat to Leyland.

The visitors batted first and made 195-7 and worked hard in the field to defend their total, dismissing Lancaster for only 115.

Only a defiant middle order stand from Tim Barry and Brendan Hetherington stopped Leyland clinching victory much earlier.

Carnforth pro Ryan Bailey continued his astonishing run of form with a second successive century for the club in the victory at St Annes.

He scored 126 not out and captain Adam Hornby made 50 in Carnforth's 258-5, reaching the victory target with 10 balls left.
