ONE of the UK's first 'new-era' JJB Sports stores is opening on Cornmill Retail Park in Barrow, offering an exciting mix of sportswear, equipment, facilities and accessories for a variety of sports.
The store will offer dedicated bike and golf departments, an extended footwear department, dedicated running section, a vast array of stylish new womenswear lines and an exciting mix of new childrenswear ranges such as the iconic Hello Kitty coll
ection – as well as the existing popular football and menswear ranges.

A new collection, exclusive to JJB Sports, will also be launched in-store when it opens on the September 5. The Champion range offers a stylish mix of performance sports clothing and comfy casual wear, combined with colourful swimwear collections and funky sunglasses.

The store benefits further from a state of the art JJB Fitness Club, which sits underneath the store, offering a stylish facility for the people of Barrow to stay fit and healthy.

Leading the store into its 'new era' is local store manager, Simon McCarthy.

Simon, 36, and originally from Barrow, has worked for the company for 11 years, managing a number of stores throughout the North West.

Recently moving from the relocated Hollywood Retail Park store, Barrow, Simon says: "We're all really excited about the store opening, teamed with the state-of-the-art new fitness club.

"The new fantastic sportswear on offer and specialist departments will encourage people to look great whilst they get fit. Our highly trained specialist staff are keen to provide only the best customer service – we even have a resident golf pro, Paul Rawlington, running our golf department to provide customers with the best advice for their game."

The new store on Cornmill Retail Park, Barrow, will be holding an official store opening event on September 20, with a variety of competitions and chances to win for customers in-store, with the fitness club opening its doors to the public on the September 22.
