A MAN has died following a road traffic collision on the A591 at the Hollins Lane junction near Burneside in Kendal.
The collision was reported to police at 3:10pm on Friday, January 29, and involved a Renault Scenic driven by an elderly male and a VW Beetle driven by a female from Ambleside travelling with three female passengers, who have all been treated by paramedics at the scene.
Tragically the male driver of the Renault Scenic was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police are keen to speak to anyone who witnessed the incident.
The road is likely to be closed until after 6pm to allow officers to investigate the scene and local diversions are in place.
