VISITORS can enjoy a sail on England's largest lake and help raise money for Cancer Research UK at the same time.
The specially painted pink boat is based in Bowness and will be available to hire throughout the summer months.

Fifty pence from each adult fare will be donated by Windermere Lake Cruises, who own the boat, to Cancer Research UK.

David Bewsher from Windermere Lake Cruises said: "The self drives are really popular with visitors throughout the season so we are confident we should able to raise a considerable sum for Cancer Research UK."

Sarah McPhee, Cancer Research UK's area volunteer manager, said: "We are thrilled that Windermere Lake Cruises decided to turn the boat pink to raise money for Cancer Research UK. Everyone that set sails on her are set for a fantastic day out as well as helping raise valuable funds for Cancer Research UK's research into breast cancer.

"Although more women are being diagnosed with breast cancer, more than ever before are being successfully treated."
