THE extraordinary life of Morecambe Bay's Queen's Guide to the Sands has been featured in a glossy UK lifestyle magazine.
Cedric Robinson MBE is the subject of the 'Ordinary People – Extraordinary Lives' feature in the August edition of Candis.

Cedric, 75, who has been the official guide to the bay sands for 45 years, reminisces about his life in the four-page colour article. It includes photos of Cedric throughout his life, including receiving his MBE in 1999 and guiding famous people such as David Bellamy over the sands.

He talks about the cockling tragedy and the occasion he accompanied HRH the Duke of Edinburgh in the royal carriage across the sands.

And on the subject of retirement, Cedric says: "As long as I'm fit and well, I'll carry on. My father lived to 102, so I've a few years left in me yet."
