A 16-year-old girl was safely returned home after asking police for help.
The teenager approached British Transport Police officers at Lancaster railway station on Tuesday evening and told them she was missing from home in Burton-upon-Trent.
After safeguarding checks were completed the BTP officers worked with BTP Cheshire to get her back home safely.
