FINESTRA Gallery in Kirkby Lonsdale this month showcases the work of David Allen from Harrogate. David's landscapes are appreciated by many art lovers, for their fine subtle colours and interesting composition.
He paints exclusively in pastel on sandpaper, and his subject matter ranges from coffee in the garden to coastal landscapes, and he is a member of the prestigious Royal Society of Marine Artists on London's South Bank.

Alan Hayman is jointly featured in this exhibition, and although Alan also paints stunning coastal landscapes, his are mainly in oil. He lives on the west coast of Scotland, and his paintings reflect that area beautifully, and his work has been widely collected for a great many years. Both artists make fantastic use of colour, and they capture a different, but very individual view of the areas they visit.

Alan and David's exhibition runs until Friday and the gallery is open every day from 10am to 5pm (Sunday 11am to 5pm).

Finestra Gallery also has a continuous display of original paintings and contemporary ceramics.
