A FURTHER highlight of Carlisle's National Hunt calendar takes place on Sunday, November 2 with a Celebration of all things Cumbrian, alongside the most valuable race of the season; the £40,000 Coors Cumberland Handicap Chase.
Countryside Day is a celebration of Cumbrian crafts and sports; offering families and racing fans a great day out in celebration of the local area.

Children love the celebrations; having fun exploring the bouncy castles and climbing walls. Horse Hoppers keeps them entertained for hours and Jason the Juggling Jester is always on hand with face painting and balloon modelling.

For those who are children at heart, the Hound Trail is always popular and 'Hawk Eye' Falconry is back once again with its amazing bird of prey display. When no-one's watching, you can also enjoy a giggle at the Punch and Judy.

In addition to the fun surrounding the course, you are also guaranteed some of the country's finest horse racing.

Tickets can be booked by calling 01228 554700 or by visiting www.carlisle-races.co.uk. You can also buy tickets on the door.

The next meeting is the Weatherbys Graduation Chase Day on Monday, November 10.
