MID June will see the finest produce from across Cumbria and the North West of England showcased at the forthcoming NW Fine Food Lovers Festival.
The festival is likely to be the biggest and best yet, featuring the region's most delicious delights as well as interactive presentations from some of Cumbria's superb food related tourist attractions.

The event, held at the Westmorland County Sh
owground, will run from 10am to 5pm over the weekend of June 14 and 15.

More than 80 of the North West's best food and drink producers will be on hand to share their products, including plenty of local favourites.

Chris Smith, director, NW Fine Foods, said: "This is a must attend event for those looking to discover and support Cumbria and the North West's local food producers. Cumbria has a rich heritage of producing some of the region's greatest foods and this year's event will have the very best on offer."

In addition to the food and drink on offer, the festival will also feature a wide range of food related demonstrations including Senhouse Museum providing visitors with a flavour of what it was like to live, cook and eat in Roman times and Whitehaven's 'Rum Story'.

Chris continued: "This festival is a great day out for all the family and a fine showcase of the best Cumbria has to offer from the world of food, drink and tourism.

"We are really excited about this event and hope that people take the opportunity to meet and talk with some of their best local food and drink producers."

Tickets are £6.50 for adults, £5.00 for concessions and under 12s go free. For more information about the festival, visit: www.nwfinefood.co.uk.
