THE World of Beatrix Potter Attraction in Bowness-on-Windermere is turning Hallowe'en on its head this year with no scary tricks just nice treats.
This Halloween will see the launch of its first 'soft and fluffy' themed celebrations, where young children will be able to enjoy an alternative to the creepy fare of witches, ghosts and hobgoblins.
Instead of a spooky cavern with spiders and ske
letons, the spook- free zone will be decorated with bright blue and pink colours as used in the Beatrix Potter illustrations.
Children will be able to swap their Dracula teeth for Peter Rabbit teeth and witches hats for rabbit ears when entering the attraction on Friday, October 31, as well as on Saturday, November 1 and Sunday, November 2.
There will be plenty of family activities on offer including 'smiley face only' pumpkin carving, a flower fairy activity table to paint Peter Rabbit and Jemima Puddleduck figurines and a wizard table for children to enjoy making magical wands.
Children that come dressed up as their favourite non-scary characters, such as Peter Rabbit and Spiderman, will be given free entry into the attraction.
Richard Foster, the general manager of the World of Beatrix Potter said: "Hallowe'en can be a bit frightening but our alternative Hallowe'en events will be magical and enchanting, with plenty of laughter rather than screams."
The attraction's Tailor of Gloucester Tearoom will also be offering traditional food like pumpkin soup and parkin.
The World of Beatrix Potter will be open for the Hallowe'en celebrations on the Friday Saturday and Sunday from 10 am till 4.30 pm.
