Lancaster garage demolition order given extension by city council
Parkfield Garage in Bowerham Road burned down in September 2012, in a fire that also caused extensive damage to adjoining shops.
Since then, the site has been left derelict and out of use.
Lancaster City Council had initially served an Enforcement Notice on the owner of the premises at the end of 2019.

However, the owner failed to comply with the Enforcement Notice, and due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the council has now allowed the owner an extension.
A city council spokesman said: "Due to Covid, the council has allowed the owner more time to undertake the work and is reviewing its options of how to proceed with this case."
